Welcome to dickblick
An ideal surface for students and teachers to practice on, Blick Wonder-Cut Linoleum offers softness and consistency with no slippage.
Wonder-Cut linoleum is easier to cut than our softer Golden-Cut, yet holds sharp lines with no crumbles, for clear, sharp prints.
Pencil-drawn cut lines are easily visible on Wonder-Cut's light color — and a slower hardening process offers the longest shelf life of any Blick linoleum, ideal for classroom settings.
Wonder-Cut has a natural jute unmounted backing and measures ¼" thick.

This is easy to cut and prints very well
Comments about Blick Wonder-Cut Linoleum:
I am glad I purchased this product. Much easier to cut that regular linoleum blocks, and prints very well.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Best linoleum for carving
from Aliso Viejo, CA
I have tried other products and this one is my favorite because it's easier to carve into. It has a woven fabric reinforcement glued to the back so it won't fall apart. The other easy carving products I've tried usually break in half.
This is a great product for students or beginners.

I use this product with my middle school students and they are able to get a good detailed print with ease. Most are beginners so a harder linoleum would be too difficult for them to cut.

I hated this material when I first bought it until I learned what I can and cannot do with it. I prints bold designs with less detail beautifully, but it can't handle a lot of negative fine lines. I just save my more detailed work for woodblocks.I keep it on hand for prints that don't need as much detail because it's cheaper and easy to carve. This makes it something I can also let my kids learn on. It also prints well, especially when using inks specifically for printing.

Cheap but Lines are perfect
By Kiki Jager

I bought the 18x18 and my prints come out wonderfully. Choose ink that is loose because this material will soak up thicker inks. I used Caligo relief inks with this and I only had to a roll few times compared to other inks. I would buy this again.

Easy on the hands!

The product carves well and is easy to get clean edges. It has a somewhat spongy consistency but once I understood what it was like, I had no problem getting my cuts right. Good product!
worst stuff ever
from corinth, vermont
it cuts beautifully, I spent hours on this incredible design in a large scale but inking this surface is a miserable task. it is grainy and bumpy and the ink never works smoothly, so you add more ink and then you have clumped ink. I am heartbroken to have devoted so much time on this surface and will not be using the other FIVE pieces I was dumb enough to order before trying.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Big Waste of $
By Ms Swiss
from Youngstown, OH
Cuts fine, however print quality is very grainy. The plate seems to absorb way more ink than it prints. I purchased a bunch of this stuff based on how it was evaluated in the catalogue and am very disappointed with how it was represented or misrepresented. This stuff is terrible.

Perfect for Young Children
By Inkface 247
from Portland, OR
I purchased a large amount of the wonder-cut because they were back ordered on the regular golden linoleum and it was a big waste of money. Although easy to cut, the spongy, porous quality of this material is terrible for attaining any kind of line quality. It's very mushy and tends to squish out ink when printed. This would be perfect for teaching a class of younger children but for any standard printmaking projects it's pretty awful.
