X-Acto's Gripster Knife features a soft rubberized barrel for a firmer, more comfortable grip and better control. Rear blade release makes blade changing safer, easier, and faster.
An aluminum octagonal nut at the base of the barrel provides an anti-roll stop, great for those who work on slanted surfaces. The Gripster is supplied with a #11 blade but will also accept blades #10, #12, #16, and #17 blades.
For general cutting, carving, correcting stencils. Fits #1 and X2000 knives.
Extremely sharp point for fine angle cutting and stripping. Fits #1 and X2000 knives. Stainless steel. Also available for bulk purchase in carbonized steel or in a safety dispenser package.
Similar to #11 blade, but with a broader top for a stronger, more flexible point.
Mini blade for cutting and carving. Fits #1 and X2000 knives.
For stenciling, scoring, etching. Fits #1 and X2000 knives. Available for bulk purchase or in a safety dispenser package.
Lightweight chiseling blade. Fits #1 and X2000 knives.

Comments about X-Acto Gripster Knife:
Since the blade is retractable it is a bit safer to use with artist "want to be" grandchildren in house.

Finally found the ideal stencil cutting knife
from Middletown, MD
With over 50 years of cutting stencils for everything from silk screening to one-of-a-kind spray painting for creative art projects, the modified #11 Xacto blade meets all of my demands, and is not matched by any other blade.

Best xacto yet
By Shane Sparrow
from Mishawaka, IN
This knife has been useful for so many pieces of artwork it's amazing. Note: I replaced the #11 blade for a #11z for best results. I use this PvE using a pencil sharpener on charcoal, graphite, and even Prismacolor. Also even use it for woodblock prints and I'm currently doing a wood print on cherry wood. Even the hardest woods cut like butter. The grip you can get with this is crazy you grip like having a rubber grip on a pencil the threaded twist to replace the blades is at the very bottom of the piece so you don't accidently unscrew and loosen the blades like other xacto knives. After months f use I've yet to have the blade slip out or come loose from carving and sharpening. My sand blocks have also been replaced by this tool. Best xacto ever plan on getting more.
