Riverpoint 500 Printmaking paper review
By Andy Rubin
Comments about Strathmore 500 Series Riverpoint Printmaking Paper:
Don't be fooled by how this paper looks. It looks like a blotter but prints fantastic. It is great for monotypes, the thick texture soaks up excess, but under pressure flattens out well. The price is great, being almost $2.00 less per comparable sheet. This paper is custom made at Univ of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and has been honed by the staff and print instructor over many years. It is a surprising deal. It is sensitive to marks and also to dirt on the press. It's okay curating, more middle range...not easy , but certainly better than most for cleaning edges and fingerprints.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I work mainly in encaustic and have come to adore this surface for all my work done on paper. The integrity of the surface holds up against all I put to it and offers a wolf luminous sub straight for the enchanting work in wax~
