I use these to keep a super-fine point on my detail pencils. Also, I color my pastels onto a fresh sheet on the board, and dip my brush right into the pastel on the sheet. It's so convenient to just tear off the used sheet to get a clean fresh one for the next round.

THIS IS GIVEN AS A GIFT IN PART. Technically, I used my friends because it was convient. This is very easy to clean, just brush off the graphite or whatever medium you are using. A great thing that can last for a long time for a cheap good price. I like how easy it is to use, don't need to worry about breaking leads. This is a cheap alternative to other things that sharpen your medium. I also love how it works for one size. I can sharpen 2mm lead without having to buy the 10.00 2mm sharpener. I love this product and Staedtler. Keep it up Staedtler your products rule! (^_^)
