Pastel Tools
Create beautiful paintings with pastels and pastel tools from Blick. Many artists rely on their fingers for blending and moving pastel colors. Other tools include pastel shapers that have rubber tips for refining areas and moving colors around. Pastel blenders like paper stumps and tortillons are made of sheets of paper that are tightly wound and shaped to a point. To use, simply rub the pointed end on the area to be blended, then unwind the paper to expose a fresh tip. Pastel brushes can be used for applying or removing color and for other refinements.
Shop for Sofft tools, which were specially developed for use with PanPastels, but can also be used with other brands of pastel. Shop Blick for sets that include these pastel tools and others. Kneaded rubber erasers are also useful for removing unwanted color from pastel paintings.
