Formulated with 100% acrylic polymer dispersion, Golden Open Acrylic Gels have been developed to offer the same optimized working time as Golden Open Acrylic Colors. They can also be used to extend the working time of fast-drying acrylic colors as a blending or glazing medium. Golden Open Gels remain wet on the palette for extended periods without skinning over. 
Choose from Gloss or Matte finishes.

Their remarkable working time makes them an ideal choice for many techniques, including plein air painting, portraiture, monoprinting, and screenprinting. They may be used with natural fiber brushes, and also work well with more traditional painting techniques.

Golden Open Acrylic Thinner - 1 oz bottle

Golden Open Acrylic Thinner is a waterbased additive ideal for thinning the consistency of Open Acrylic Paint Colors and mediums without altering drying time. It can also be used to adjust the workability of colors on the palette without using water mists, or used as a thin-bodied retarder with Heavy Body or Fluid Colors.
Since Golden Open Acrylic Thinner contains no binders, it will not form a film. For best results, use one part thinner to three parts paint or medium.


Golden Open Acrylic Thinner is a waterbased additive ideal for thinning the consistency of Open Acrylic Paint Colors and mediums without altering drying time. It can also be used to adjust the workability of colors on the palette without using water mists, or used as a thin-bodied retarder with Heavy Body or Fluid Colors.

Formulated to a lower viscosity than Golden Open Acrylic colors, Golden Open Acrylic Mediums are ideal for increasing flow when a more fluid mixture is desired. In addition to maximizing the working time of Golden Open Acrylics, Open Mediums can be used to adjust color strength and translucency while maintaining consistency. Open Mediums are also useful for lowering the viscosity or Heavy Body colors and for creating a fluidity that is ideal for intricate, detailed brushwork.
Choose from Gloss or Matte finishes.
