The fully engraved anodized aluminum body is paired with a matching full-metal clip. Understated branding lets the guilloche engraving take center stage, with “Diplomat” engraved on the cap ring and the company’s logo in the finial.

A polished stainless-steel nib, available in a single Fine/Medium size, lays down a consistent 0.5–0.7 mm line. Ink flow is smooth and steady—not too wet, not too dry—with enough tipping material to accommodate a custom grind. A smooth magnetic slip-cap closes with a satisfying click and posts securely when writing.

Measuring 5-3/8" capped and 6" posted, the Viper fills with standard international cartridges (sold separately) or the included converter, giving you plenty of flexibility. Because the nib is hooded, cleaning after dipping can be a little messier than usual. Many writers prefer filling the converter directly to avoid ink pooling around the section.
