Woven from 100% French linen, Artfix Absorbent Gray Linen Canvas by the Yard is prepared with a neutral gray absorbent ground that establishes an immediate mid-value, allowing color, contrast, and tonal relationships to develop organically from the first layer.

Formulated for washes, staining, glazing, and fluid techniques, the absorbent ground draws paint into the surface rather than letting it sit on top. It provides strong adhesion for liquid acrylics, oil pastels, and other media that benefit from an absorbent surface. Six linen weaves range from silky extra-fine to bold double-thread coarse. Available by the yard for custom sizing



## Fine, 85" x 1 yd  
A fine linen with an even grain and very tight weave. Ideal for portraits and detail work where natural rendering and subtle nuance are priorities. 9 oz primed weight; 6 oz pre-primed weight.


## Medium Fine, 85" x 1 yd  
A medium-fine linen with a tight weave and medium-smooth texture. Highly adaptable to all painting styles and mixed techniques. 9 oz primed weight; 5.5 oz pre-primed weight.


## Medium, 85" x 1 yd  
A medium-strong, tightly woven linen with a mid-tooth surface. Adapts to any painting style, with balanced support for water-based and acrylic paints. 13.6 oz primed weight; 12.6 oz pre-primed weight.


## Coarse, 85" x 1 yd  
A strong linen with a heavier thread, coarse tooth, and tight weave. Built for durability on large-scale work and frescoes, with good absorbency for washes and impasto. 12.5 oz primed weight; 9 oz pre-primed weight.


## Double Thread Coarse, 85" x 1 yd  
The most durable canvas in this linen line. Double-thread coarse construction with a tight weave and medium texture. Resistant to humidity and engineered for large formats and wall work. 12.5 oz primed weight; 10.5 oz pre-primed weight.


## Extra Coarse, 85" x 1 yd  
An extra-coarse linen with a heavier thread and tight weave. A breathable, durable surface that supports natural material effects, mural work, and energetic mark-making. 14.5 oz primed weight; 10.5 oz pre-primed weight.
