The best holder I've had so far
By Lil G
from Whittier, California
I got the set, the holder and nibs because the Speedball ones I was using literally died on my last drawing. This holder is no comparison to Speedball! It feels just right in hand, no slippage, perfect size and it looks cute! Definitely recommend anyone who is a pro or who's just starting pen and ink.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This type if nib is used mainly for lines that require uniformity. Though they can offer some flexibility. its good for those with heavy hands and a good place to start inking.

Great for manga. Can't wait to use

I normally use microns but I really wanted to use the g-pen like the artists in Japan use. It takes practice but it is great for your moneys worth

I got this nib and holder set because I was fired up for Inktober. At first I was hesitant because I'd only used nibs for calligraphy, not so much drawing, but as soon as I got them I hit the ground running. I love this set so much! As a first time user I love that the grip is easy on my fingers, and also, it looks like the handle of a rock candy lollypop haha! The only drawback is that the ink gets on my fingers, but I have a feeling that's got more to do with the fact that I'm new to working with this kind of pen. The shipping was also faster than I expected, which was great. Over all, it's a great choice and the price can't be beat!
I have usedaylight this nib with a variety of inks. Good flex and flow. Would buy again.
fits my hand!

Working with this nib holder is a breeze, it fits my hand (long fingers and nails) it has good balance and holds the nibs secure.

I've been learning to ink using dip pens and figuredo I'd try this out especially since I use the Zig Cartoonist Kuretake Black Ink since it's the only one I've been able to use with Copic markers. I had a scare when I first used this though. Apparently I pushed the nib too far in and the nib wouldn't come out. A simple warning on the package would be nice. I eventually had to use a pair or pliers to get the nib out. Lesson learned. Other then that, comfortable and very steady.

I love this holder and nibs. The handle is very comfortable and the nibs are amazing. I finally found the right nibs to use in my drawings. These nibs are strong does everything the company says these nibs will do. Did I tell you how much I loves these nibs........

Best of Class
By Scott the friend

I use this to ink comics. The holder is the best part, but the nibs are flawless, executing fine and thick lines with these pens is a dream. It is so fun, that you'll be addicted. Especially if you are using Sumi ink. I think that if you try these pens, you'll never use anything else. These pens make the kind of lines that you can only make with nib pens, or Photoshop on a Wacom Cintiq. I have a 27" QHD Wacom Cintiq, and using these nibs creates better lines than Photoshop on a huge display. The best thing is that they create very fine and distinct natural lines, of many thicknesses. There is no bad thing about having a set of these nibs. They are perfectly suited to inking comics. I think you might want to buy a synthetic number one brush, to augment your process.

I bought a bottle of nibs at a flea market last year. Some of them were crow quill nibs and none of my handles could grip them. This one not only holds them nice and snug, but the wooden handle is light and comfortable to hold for long periods. The foam grip is definetly a plus.
