Welcome to dickblick
Made from 80% calcium carbonate bonded with a small amount of plastic, this paper can be used with watercolors, acrylics, inks, pastels, pencils, markers, and inkjet printers.
Yasutomo Mineral Paper can also be embossed, hot-stamped, varnished, glued, and laminated. Water-resistant with a smooth finish, it still has enough tooth and absorption for all mediums. It will not buckle when used with the wettest mediums.

Nice paper - but NOT FOR INKJET
from Boston MA
Comments about Yasutomo Mineral Paper Artist Pad:
This paper is great for lots of different medias, but I can not understand why Yasutomo says it works for inkjet printing. My image bleds intensely, and after three days is still not dry! I printed an image with some blurred and some hard edges. See attached image below. Everything bled except the white (which of course had no ink on it). Epson 3800
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I found a new favorite paper
from New York, NY
This paper has nice smooth satiny feel - a nice tooth. Water based media is absorbed nicely but you can also puddle the paint. The paper will hold the drip at the bottom edge. There are a lot of possibilities with this paper. Also quite nice with marker and graphite.
Wonderful product. Ink colors are brilliant on this "paper"!

Loved working on this paper. Bought several pads for my artist friends to try, too.

Excellent product. I would purchase this product again.
I used alcohol inks and made some beautiful background sheets for greeting cards. Used some to die cut turtles. The colors on this mineral paper almost look like suede.

Superb eco-friendly paper!
from Addy, WA
My main intent for this paper is geological and ecological - as a rockhound, I love any use of minerals instead of cutting down trees! But, this paper is more than just a fad item - it's a great use of a renewable resource (I live in Washington where volcanos are spewing out new rock almost on a daily basis). It's also got a lovely smooth surface for both dry and liquid mediums - it might be a bit slick if you're used to rough papers, though.

I used this paper for watercolor painting. Although it appears somewhat thin, it performs without buckling. It is both absorbant and non-absorbant because of the minerals which absorbe somewhat and the plastic type binder which is non-abosbant. Exciting and unexpected results with this product
Great to use with Alcohol Inks!
from Houston, Texas
I love to use this paper with Alcohol Inks! It is very comparable to Yupo, in that it is water resistant, and has a very matte finish. The inks do not bleed through the mineral paper. The texture feels a bit grainy, which makes it unusual. This is a very unique paper, and I love it :)

I love this product! I love how you can wipe off the paint if you mess up and start over with a clean slate. you can do so much with this paper. It is truly incredible! Definitely worth experimenting with if you haven't already!
