Great for any project
from Lake Forest, CA
Comments about Strathmore 300 Series Student Watercolor Paper:
I've painted dozens of projects with this paper. It holds up well. The only thing you need to be careful with, is if you make an area too dark. It only holds up to adding water & stripping color for so long. Use a 300lb weight paper for that. I rarely need to strip color so it works for me.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Heavy duty watercolor paper
from Greeneville, Tennessee
This paper is a real treat to use with students. Watercolor paper is not something my students use often because of the cost but this paper is great.

Very nice paper--especially for the price
I really love to practice on this paper. I'm an experienced digital and colored pencil artist, who is expanding into watercolor and watercolor pencils. I have been using these for my color studies and for new techniques. I own a few different papers that I received as Christmas presents. Canon student watercolor papers kept pilling, even with one very light brush stroke, and warped VERY easily, which surprised me...As a digital artist, I really love their printing papers!! Oh well. This paper resists warping even with heavy coverage, although sometimes I'll stretch it if I plan to do more than one layer of wet-in-wet or lots of layers in general to prevent the edges from curling. I have had zero pilling with this paper. It's also quite easy to blend colors on it. It has a really beautiful texture as well. The only paper I prefer over this is Stillman and Birn, but I reserve that for more serious work. This is a fantastic way to practice watercolors at a reasonable price.
Great product-would recommend!

This watercolor paper is of great quality. It holds up well and doesn't disintegrate with repetitive brush strokes.
Fantastic Watercolor Paper
from Rochester Hills, Michigan
Our children use this paper daily in Preschool through Middle Grades classrooms. We use it for signage throughout the school as well. It is durable, stands up to many re-uses for our signs. We have signs that were painted over 6 years ago for our yearly Holiday Bazaar that still look like fresh paintings.
Use this for watercolor class for kids 7-12. The previous paper was too thin and did not take color brilliantly like hisThe sheets are the right size, the weight and pebbled texture allow wonderful things to happen with the water is applied and color dropped in over the drawing.

Everything is fine
Quality paper and a decent price, especially for beginners.
Watercolor painting paper
from HAdley, MA
We have been using this paper for water color and pastel painting for all the classes, from Early Childhood all the way through 8th grade. Our teachers made an extensive research and found that this is the best paper for what we use it for and also it's more affordable than some.

THE PERFECT STUDENT WATERCOLOR PAPER
By Carolyn's smart artists
from Hawthorne, New Jersey
I am using the Strathmore 300 series watercolor paper in my after-school art enrichment classes which I teach to private students. This paper far exceeded my expectation. It accepted the watercolor paint without buckling and allowed for layering watercolors. I have found my favorite student grade watercolor paper! I used it with Kindergarten through 3rd grade students. It is tough and withstands layering and scrubbing!
