Inspired by the dreamy state between wakefulness and sleep, the Pilot Kakuno Madoromi Collection introduces muted pastel barrels and refined gold-plated stainless-steel nibs to a beloved beginner-friendly fountain pen. “Kakuno” means “to write” in Japanese, and this pen is designed to make it feel easy. A smiley face on the nib guides proper writing angle—when it’s facing up, you’re holding the pen correctly.

The lightweight barrel and triangular, pencil-like grip sit naturally in the hand, encouraging relaxed finger placement. Gold-plated stainless-steel nibs, available in Fine or Medium, deliver controlled ink flow for super smooth, skip-free writing.

Designed with sustainability in mind, Kakuno Madoromi Fountain Pens are made using at least 70% recycled plastic resin. Each comes ready to write with a black Pilot ink cartridge, but is also compatible with the Pilot CON-40 converter (sold separately) so it's easy to transition to bottled inks when you’re ready.
