The MP1 is Monteverde’s first ever piston-fill fountain pen, developed to mark the brand’s 25th anniversary. Thoughtfully designed for those who find quiet satisfaction in a pen that works beautifully, it marks a milestone in modern pen design.

The transparent barrel and grip are machined from radiant, high-strength polycarbonate resin for a balanced, fluid feel. Inside, the Lock-It piston system draws ink directly from the bottle into the pen’s large, clear 2 ml chamber and locks securely in place. There are no leaks or accidental twists—just clean fills and consistent performance, wherever the day takes you.

Each MP1 features a precision-engineered steel #6 JoWo nib from Germany, available in four sizes: Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, and Broad. Paired with Monteverde’s plasma-treated feed system, it delivers smooth, even ink flow without skips or blots.

Finished with a screw-on anodized aluminum cap engraved with elegant linear detailing, the MP1 arrives in a sleek, minimalist gift box—perfect for those who value form and function in equal measure.

How to Fill the MP1:

1. Pull the piston knob outward until it clicks to release.
2. Turn the knob counterclockwise to lower the piston.
3. Immerse the nib in ink, then turn the knob clockwise to draw ink into the chamber.
4. Align the dots on the piston knob and the barrel ring. To lock, press the knob down until it clicks securely into place.
