Montana Gold is an acrylic-based, extremely high-covering professional spray paint that works on almost any surface, even flexible ones. Use it on canvas, concrete, glass, wood, and more.
Montana Gold dries quickly and offers excellent surface adhesion. The low-pressure system offers soft handling and smooth application. Every color in the line is CFC-free and highly lightfast.
The Montana Gold range includes 219 acrylic colors, including a range of classic matte colors, fluorescent colors, "shock" colors, process colors, and effect colors. Also included are transparent colors that enable users to achieve greater visual depth and tonal variation. Apply them thinly or in multiple layers for perfect fades or shadows.
Included with each can is a standard Montana Spray Cap. You can swap this out with other Montana Spray Caps (sold separately) to achieve a great variety of line widths, from Ultra Skinny to Ultra Fat.
Prior to use, Montana Gold Acrylic Professional Spray Paints must be shaken to assure the pigments and other ingredients are sufficiently blended. To accomplish this, hold the can upside-down in one hand, and strike the bottom of the can against the palm of your other hand. Repeat the process several times until you hear the ball bearings (which may have settled with the pigments in the bottom of the can) moving freely inside the can. Another alternative is to take two cans of spray paint, one in each hand, hold them upside-down and then hit the bottoms of the cans together several times. After you hear the ball bearings moving freely, vigorously shake the can back and forth in a lengthwise direction a few times to further blend the paint. Whichever technique is used, use care to avoid damage to the can or injury to your hands.
Metallic Colors Note — Do not use a topcoat as it will dull the finish and destroy the shiny look of the metallic colors. Glossy topcoats will also change the appearance that the metallic colors have right out of the can. Metallic colors also shouldn't be applied to surfaces that will be touched often — the pigments sit on top of the paint and will wear and come off with repeated contact.
Montana Gold True Color Swatch Chart
This swatch book includes every color in the Montana Gold line. It’s an independent color system that doesn’t relate to other color systems, such as RAL or Pantone. Every swatch has been checked, mixed, and printed to be as close to the original as possible, but printing and paper limitations may cause slight variations in color. It’s recommended to test spray and compare colors before use.
Color Chart Note — Color charts represent approximations of the real color. Due to the many variations in monitors and browsers, colors may appear slightly different on different computer screens.
Pricing Note — Items with the Blick Best Price icon () on this page are not eligible for additional discounts due to pricing restrictions set by the manufacturer.
