Formerly called Liquitex Gloss Medium and Varnish, Liquitex Gloss and Matte Mediums  can be used as an extender and fixative for Liquitex Acrylic Paints. They can be mixed together, in any proportion, for a semi-gloss or satin medium. 


**Matte, 8 oz**  - This fluid with high-resin solids dries to a matte finish. Use to maintain opacity and extend opaque colors to double amounts without changing the color. Ideal for large projects where transparency is not desired.

Liquitex Acrylic Mediums are made from 100% acrylic polymer emulsion and form durable films when dry. They have excellent flexibility and resistance to chemicals, water, abrasion, and ultraviolet radiation. When added to acrylic paint, they alter the handling characteristics, appearance, or volume to produce an infinite variety of effects. 


Mediums are non-yellowing, non-sticky when wet, and non-tacky when dry. They dry slowly by evaporation, display excellent adhesion, and are  non-toxic  and intermixable. Available in different viscosities and sheens.

The paint you've previously known as Liquitex Medium Viscosity Acrylic Artist Color is now called Liquitex Professional Soft Body Acrylics. 


Liquitex Professional Soft Body Acrylics were the first fine artist's acrylics sold commercially in the United States. These concentrated acrylics contain rich, pure pigments that produce intense color without opacifiers or fillers. They have twice the covering power of ordinary craft acrylics! 


Liquitex Soft Body Acrylics are naturally creamy and fluid. That makes them just right for tole and decorative arts, stenciling, murals, silk-screening, calligraphy, printmaking, graphic design, sculpture, photo retouching, hard edged painting, watercolor techniques, fabric painting without heat setting, airbrush illustration... you name it! They're great for all surfaces, including wood, fabric, ceramics, canvas, or any porous surface. 


Now, Soft Body Acrylics come in ergonomic squeeze bottles with nozzle tips. They were designed with artists to be easier to use and more functional without wasting paint.


The paint you've previously known as Liquitex Medium Viscosity Acrylic Artist Color is now called Liquitex Professional Soft Body Acrylics. Liquitex Soft Body Acrylics were the first fine artist's acrylics sold commercially in the United States.

Use with Liquitex colors as a painting and glazing medium, and as a final picture varnish.
