Now the papers that inspire artists' work can support it, too. Canson Art Boards feature best-selling Canson paper on rigid, archival backing for a variety of media and techniques.
Each Canson art board is as rugged as it is beautiful. And because the paper is mounted on white, acid-free, lignin-free, archival conservation board, the board is both durable and enduring.
Canson Art Board is ready for framing without mounting, eliminating a step as well as the added expense. The art finished on acid-free paper is displayed and protected on two-ply, 1.2 mm archival Canson conservation board, making self-preservation simple. Buffered, without optical brightening agents, and treated to resist mold, these art boards are compliant to ISO 9706, the standard for permanent paper.
This board provides an ideal foundation for pen-and-ink renderings, technical drawings, or work in hard pencil. It has a rich, natural white surface that is hard enough to support detailed work.

Comments about Canson Bristol Plate Art Board:
Definitely recommend this product for use with graphite, ink and some water based paints. Nice to have extra support compared to regular bristol sheets.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Excellent support for pen and ink
By Cindy in SD

I just finished my second pen and ink drawing on this particular surface and I love it. I've been trying different things, and while they're all good for certain uses, I think I'll be sticking with the Canson art boards. It's so nice to have a rigid surface, and I put a lot of work into my drawings, so it's great to also know they'll last.I'm using mostly Copic pens and markers, and they work well on this surface. The large brushes do bleed just a teensy bit more than I would like, but it's not a big problem. They do blend beautifully and that counts for a lot.

NOT just an art board
from Defuniak Springs, Fl
I use this product, and only this product for my finished pen & ink art works. I don't believe there's a finer bristol plate art board on the market. The surface is perfect for what I do and the fact that it's archival just enhances it's appeal, Because I want what I do to last.
