A more decorative version of our popular Floater Frame, the Pietra features an elegant design in Gold Leaf and Black or Silver Leaf and Black with a 3/4&quot; wide moulding. Choose from a variety of sizes that accommodate 3/4&quot;, 7/8&quot; or 1-1/2&quot; deep canvases.   The gold and silver leaf frames are hand-finished with the "Old World" technique of showing lines between each individual leaf which reveals a thin separation line.    Note &nbsp;&mdash;&nbsp;Frames are sized by the opening, not by the outside of the molding. To determine the size of frame to order, measure the outside of your artwork and order that size frame.    Frame&nbsp;Depth &nbsp;&mdash;&nbsp;To find a frame that will accommodate your artwork, measure the depth of the artwork, including any matting or mounting materials, and order a frame with a depth that is, at a minimum, the same as that measured depth.

Three color combinations are available in a variety of popular sizes to accommodate 3/4&quot; deep or 1-1/2&quot; deep canvases. Great care is taken in finishing the wood, and all colors are hand-applied. The Gold Leaf frame features several brush coats of gold leaf, and the Gold Crackle frame achieves its distinctive appearance via a special burnishing technique.   Because our Blick Grande Floater Frames are finished using an &quot;Old World&quot; technique, the individual leaves are separated by a visible line. The frame easily attaches to the stretcher bars of the canvas from the backside with screws (not included).


They’re made in a variety of popular sizes with six color options. The 7/8" deep rabbet frames accommodate 3/4" and 7/8" canvases, and the 1-1/2" deep rabbet frames accommodate 1-1/2" deep canvases. A 3/8" clearance between the canvas and the edge of the frame creates the floating effect. Great care is taken in finishing the wood, and all colors are hand-applied.
