Blick Wood Floater Frames create the illusion that your artwork is "floating" within the frame instead of being covered by it — perfect for displaying a gallery wrap canvas where no staples are visible. The frame easily attaches to the stretcher bars of the canvas from the backside with screws (not included).

They’re made in a variety of popular sizes and color options. The 7/8" deep rabbet frames accommodate 3/4" and 7/8" canvases, and the 1-1/2" deep rabbet frames accommodate 1-1/2" deep canvases. A 3/8" clearance between the canvas and the edge of the frame creates the floating effect. Each frame is made by hand. Great care is taken in finishing the wood.

The Blick Contour Floater Frame is a beautiful contemporary frame made in the USA from American hardwood.

So named because the illusion it creates is that your artwork is "floating" within the frame instead of being covered by it, this frame is perfect for displaying a gallery wrap canvas where no staples are visible. The canvas easily attaches to the stretcher bars from the back side with screws. These unique solid wood frames are so named because the illusion they create is that your artwork is "floating" within the frame instead of being covered by it — perfect for displaying a gallery wrap canvas where no staples are visible. The canvas easily attaches to the stretcher bars from the back side with screws. The Blick Grande Floater Frame features a 1-3/8" thick moulding — for when you want to make a grand statement! Each frame is made by hand. Available in a variety of popular sizes to accommodate 3/4" deep or 1-1/2" deep canvases. Great care is taken in finishing the wood, and all colors are hand-applied. The Gold Leaf frame features several brush coats of gold leaf, and the Gold Crackle frame achieves its distinctive appearance via a special burnishing technique. Because our Blick Grande Floater Frames are finished using an "Old World" technique, the individual leaves are separated by a visible line. This thin line is inherent to the hand-leafing process and should not be considered a defect in the frame’s appearance. Choose Blick Grande Floater Frames for a stunning presentation every time!

__Note__  — Frames are sized by the opening, not by the outside of the molding. To determine the size of frame to order, measure the outside of your artwork and order that size frame. 
__Frame Depth__  — To find a frame that will accommodate your artwork, measure the depth of the artwork, including any matting or mounting materials, and order a frame with a depth that is, at a minimum, the same as that measured depth.

A more decorative version of our popular Floater Frame, the Pietra features an elegant design in Gold Leaf and Black or Silver Leaf and Black with a 3/4" wide moulding. Choose from a variety of sizes that accommodate 3/4", 7/8" or 1-1/2" deep canvases. Each frame is made by hand. The gold and silver leaf frames are hand-finished with the "Old World" technique of showing lines between each individual leaf which reveals a thin separation line.
