Lots of room for mixing paints
from Rock Hill, SC
Comments about Blick Clear Acrylic Palette:
This palette is huge! This is as big as a popular familiar name brand but at a much lower price. Sturdy, comfortable to hold, and room enough to mix all the colors you need. I highly recommend.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I purchased many products from this site recently but the palette is by far my favorite purchase. It truly gives me the feeling of being an artist. I am grateful to have been introduced to your site and will happily return to make more purchases to further my skill. Thank you!

Needs a Major Redesign
from Odenton, MD
The palette is large, which is good and hard to find. However, it's design is substandard.1) The cutouts in the palette make it impossible to hold comfortably. Your wrist will be unnaturally twisted, and the palette will be top-heavy when you hold it.2) I'm not a fan of clear palettes. When mixing colors, I think it is best to have a white palette, i.e., the same color as the canvas (unless you are using a black gesso or something on your canvas).I redesigned the palette. See picture #1. I reshaped the hand-grip so that the wrist is straight and comfortable and the fingers naturally fold toward the thumb. See picture #2. I also cut out a portion the the palette so that the forearm of the holder rests in the center of the palette, thereby providing better balance to the palette. Finally, I sanded the underside of the palette so that it would have a whitish haze, which is better for mixing colors.Bottom Line: Don't buy this poorly engineered product unless you are willing to invest a lot of time modifying it. If you do modify it, it is highly functional, but a bit heavy to hold for long periods of time.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I wanted to reach out with some feedback about the palette I ordered which was very disappointing. The areas where the fingers rest, as well as where it rests on your body, were quite rough and blistered my fingers. Also, I paint landscapes where I need to pull the paint with the painting knife on the palette. The surface on the flimsy palette almost immediately became scuffed and the paint was no longer able to be pulled flat. I've never had this problem before on any other palette. Normally I'd return and ask for a refund because it only lasted for one painting session, but I don't know if that's possible because it's already scuffed from the knife and marked up from where I tried to tape a soft surface around the sharp finger areas. I just wanted to reach out and let you know. I'm very pleased with all of my other purchased items.

This product is so easy to clean, my wooden one looks awful but this product is clean as new. My oil paints don't leave a mark.
