Carefully woven in Italy from the finest flax, Belle Arti Clear Glue Sized Linen Canvas by the Yard reflects over four decades of expertise in producing world-quality artists’ linen canvases. Prepared with a single coat of clear glue sizing, the surface is sealed and stabilized without masking the character of the linen, preserving its natural strength and texture while maintaining a firm, balanced feel under tension.

Acrylic and universal primers can be applied directly, while oil priming requires an additional sizing layer. Offered in four distinct weaves, from extra-fine to rough, with varied texture and weights (6.3 oz–13.5 oz) to suit different approaches.

Founded in Italy in 1979 by Riccardo Elio Pieraccini, P.E.R. Belle Arti has grown from a small family workshop into a globally recognized producer of professional artist canvases. The company maintains close control over the entire production process, from fiber selection through weaving and final priming, producing linen canvases of exceptional quality and archival longevity.
