Bee Black drawing paper rules the hive!
from Dana Point, CA
I draw Pets for clients and had trouble with lighter colored Pets. Bee helped solve the problem and I ended up giving away all of my white paper pads! It is capable of handling several layers of color Pencil and it really does look more appealing in the end, giving richness to the final piece.

Good quality stock!
I was looking for black paper equal, or close to, my white Bristol smooth stock and this definitely fit the bill quite nicely. I am very pleased with the results I get and I will order this again.
Interesting New Product
from Pittsburgh, PA
This black Bristol board has lots of possibilities. It is not as smooth as white Bristol, having a more grainy surface. Colored pencil is very striking on this background.

I enjoyed working on this paper, it is smooth and a heavy weight. I will be using this paper more often in the future.

Went Black - won't go back!
By Pencil Pets by Gracie
from Las Vegas, NV
I had been using white Bristol for my drawings (Faber-Castel Poly Color Pencils) and found I was getting frustrated with drawing white or light colored pets. On a whim, I tried Bee Black Bristol and have used nothing else since! It makes all colors POP and instead of fighting the paper, it works with me to create vibrant drawings. I absolutely love it to pieces!

The Buzz on Bee Paper...
By Pencil Pets By Gracie
from Las Vegas
After having trouble drawing white animals on white bristol, I tried using Bee's black paper and now I am hopelessly addicted and use nothing else. The color pencils I use (Faber-Castell) really POP on the page and it makes for a better drawing all around. The only one small complaint I have is that the blending isn't the same as it is on the white Bristol - not as smooth I suppose...but that is minor compared to the final result I get using this high quality, thicker paper for my customers!

Bee Paper Excellent Choise
By Shep the artist
from Gastonia NC
I've been looking for quality black paper (heavy weight) to use with colored pencils. This is a great paper for using with colored pencils, primarily with polychromos and/or prismacolor pencils. The weight is ideal to layer colors. Polychromos white works great on the paper allowing for super blending of colors needing pop.
