Formulated from several clays for plasticity and texture, this light brown clay contains tiny specks that give it the look of gas-fired and reduced stoneware. It also contains a fine grit that makes it stronger and easier to throw larger pieces.

The 50 lb carton contains two 25 lb blocks of moist clay.
Note — This clay is AP non-toxic when moist.

Love the Brown Color!
from Penrose CO
Nice clay... Still waiting for my first bisque fire but the clay throws nice on the wheel. Not so much grog as to tear up your hands but enough for extra support... I will update after my first bisque and glaze...

Beautiful Low Fire Clay
By Kay Clay
from Clermont, FL
I have been looking for a richer looking low fire clay. This clay is great. I use white low fire when I want colors to show well, red clay when i want that earthy look with minimal glaze. This clay has a rich hot chocolate color after firing to cone 04 and takes glazes well, particularly blues and blacks. Love the offering of other clays in the low fire range because low fire uses lots less energy to fire. this clay is easy to work with on the wheel, has grog and hold together well for added pieces. The price with shipping was OK. Wish I could find it locally, but thanks Dick Blick for offering a unique clay,
A wonderful, versatile clay
from Central Virginia
I've been very satisfied with this clay, and have become addicted to it. An ideal throwing clay and firest and glazes well. Comes with just the right moisture level, too, which is very important. (Some clays I've bought from Clay King are too dry and hard.)
