Create whimsical mug pins using low-fire clay and Blick Essentials Gloss Glaze! Get inspired as Tiffany demonstrates how she draws and paints her designs using Holbein Acrylic Gouache. Once you’re happy with the look of your mugs, roll out your clay and carefully cut out your mug shapes. Let them dry for a few hours, glaze using whatever colors you like, and fire to cone 04. Attach pin backs to your finished pieces, and enjoy showing off your wearable art!
Tiffany Thomas is a painter and ceramicist known for her vibrant, playful designs. Her clay of choice is translucent porcelain, fired with colorful stains and glazes. Tiffany’s work has been shown in numerous exhibitions, including the South Carolina Arts Commission Gala, the Spartanburg Juried Competition, and the Pee Dee Regional Art Competition. Her work has also been exhibited at the North Carolina Museum of Art. She resides in Florence, South Carolina, where she is an active member of the local arts community.
