Softer paper than expected
from La Quinta, CA
Comments about Zerkall Copperplate Paper:
Paper is very smooth, but softer than I expected. I think it would work well for print making, but my work needs a stronger paper to hold up to water washing better than this paper.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I use this paper to make Suminagashi prints, cutting it to size for 5"x7" greeting cards. It's a beautiful, heavy paper without sizing...it draws up the floating ink quite fast, creating crisp, clear prints. Easy to crease, fold, and press.I love this paper.

This was the first time I used this product. I was completely satisfied with the end results. I used this paper to make Japanese marble paper. I love the fact that it is a heavy paper and it took the inks perfectly.Since I purchased large sheets, I had to cut them into smaller sizes....Love the feel and texture of the paper!

The best value comes from buying bigger sheets and cutting them down to project size.

Good Water Leaf paper
This paper was never meant to be soaked. Just spritz from a spray bottle. The fibers will hold up just fine. It gives amazing detail and tonal range for intaglio. Those who have never used this paper may want to experiment with a sheet first.

This paper is completely unsized. It is very rare to find paper like this, and it works very well for my mask making.

do not buy this paper
from maplewood njj
this paper disintegrates as soon as you get it wet. Horrible for printmaking.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Merchant response: We are sorry to hear that the Copperplate paper did not work out for you. It has been used successfully for many years with traditional printmaking processes such as Lithography and Etching. Due to the lack of sizing, it is not recommended to soak copperplate paper. We suggest that you instead mist, or slightly dampen the paper by placing it between two wet blotters. If you are still unsatisfied with the paper's perfomance, please feel welcome to contact us at 1-800-933-2542 and we will help you select a paper that might better meet your needs.
