One of my favorite brushes
from Flower Mound, TX
I keep coming back to these of all the brushes I own, and I have a few. To me, they feel better in hand and hold quite a bit of paint and are able to maintain a really nice point. Most of the synthetics I've used hold a great point but do not hold as much paint by comparison. They are not the least expensive brushes but they aren't too high priced either. They are hideous when dry but once you wet them they look and perform really nicely. I feel like they are a nice balance of price, style and performance. I did not have any issues while using them on cold press and hot papers (Arches, Fluid) with W&N Artist Watercolors, Cottman and Qor.

Comments about Winsor & Newton Artists' Round Watercolor Brushes:
I purchased the size 2 and 6 brush and loved how easily it glided on the watercolor paper. They are good value for what you get, the best type of hair for a brush! #sweepstakes
Purchased the size 2 and 6 brush
I liked using these as beginner watercolor brushes because they are really great quality. The hairs don't fall off after the first few washes and they keep their pointed round shape. I was recommended this brand by a friend. #sweepstakes
Absolutely love these brushes

I am so happy with this purchase. These brushes hold a lot of watercolor so you don't have to keep reloading your brush. The bristles have a great spring and bounce. They also form a really nice point on the end so you are able to paint details.

There may be better sable brushes out there, but I can't afford most and some advertised just aren't that great: I've likely tried them. I love these brushes - and can afford to pay for them. I splurged this time and bought a size 12 because it was such an unbeatable deal, so now I have an extensive brush repertoire. These are the best brushes I have bought at any time: they hold a lot of water, have excellent points, and, given that I be a them up pretty good, are durable. A pleasure.
i buy from Dick Blick all the time.

Fantastic for Detailed Linework - Size 00

So, after this buy, I'm definitely going to get more Winsor and Newton brushes as they hold up very well. I purchased the smallest size, 00, so that I could go in with fine lines to fill in small details and also ink my pieces. These brushes are fantastic, and I am very impressed with the quality - I had no problem with fraying on the brush, which was surprising. I've used other 00 brushes, and they fray rather quickly, so that was pretty spectacular for me. I definitely recommend these brushes.
This is my most used watercolor brush.

Comments about Winsor & Newton Artists' One Stroke Watercolor Brushes:
I use this brush for large water color washes. It wasn't in stock for a long time and was afraid it would be discontinued, so I'm glad to have it.
