Utrecht NOOD 2 Odorless Paint Thinner delivers professional performance and peace of mind anywhere you work. Exceptionally pure and refined to minimize aromatic content, it’s virtually odorless—ideal for artists with sensitivities and for shared spaces where comfort and safety matter most.

With a higher 144°F flashpoint, NOOD 2 provides very slow, controlled evaporation. In addition to extending open time, its gradual release reduces solvent loss during extended sessions, minimizing waste. It also results in greater overall stability for easier handling in transport and storage, and more straightforward, responsible disposal. 

Compatible with traditional drying oils—linseed, safflower, walnut, and poppy—as well as modern alkyd mediums, just a small amount of NOOD 2 instantly relaxes stiff color. It enhances flow, levels brushwork, and preserves paint film integrity. Use it to extend mediums for broad passages, open color for glazing, establish lean underpaintings, or fine-tune viscosity for detail work.

NOOD 2 is equally effective for studio cleanup, cutting through color on brushes, palettes, and knives without leaving residue.
