The Schacht Portable Tapestry Loom is ideal for introducing students to the ancient craft of tapestry.
It provides four heddle bars so beginning weavers can experiment with four-shaft pattern weaving. Sheds are formed using heddle bars and string heddles.
To keep warp tension even, it has a tension beam with thumbscrews on the end for easy adjustment. Continuous warping allows a 60" long warp to be put directly on the loom without other warping tools. The loom has a 25" weaving width.
Trestle Stand — It adjusts to a variety of working angles, from horizontal to nearly vertical.
Optional A-Frame Stand — This adjustable stand allows for a variety of working angles.
