So I've been watching to try these Qor watercolors for a long time. I was very enticed by the bold colors. I bought the small chroma color introductory set of 6. As expected the colors are very very rich and quite beautiful. And you can get an amazing arrange of colors just by mixing those 6 colors together. But they don't bleed well together when trying to get a solid gradient affect with two separate colors in wet on wet. They also have a cool bleed out affect that I don't see happen organically too often with regular watercolors, but I think you have to be aiming for that affect. I find it will have that affect even without prompting it to behave so. If that's the look you're going for in your art, than these are perfect for you. One thing I did notice that I did not like at all was once laid on paper and let it dry, I couldn't reactive the dried color on paper very well. You could tell a little bit of it reactivated, but not as much as I was hoping for. They almost remind me of gauche in that sense. At least in my experience with gauche. But that affect alone made me a little sad and more hesitant purchasing more colors. I will continue to play around with them in hopes I can better learn their language, I might also trying different paper ( i used Arches cold press paper) These aren't 'bad' paints, they just don't behave as typical watercolors do. For that reason I don't know if I will invest more into them. If the price was a little lower I could see doing that, but for that price I expect to get WC paints that behave as such. So again, we will see.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Very creamy texture and intense colors
from Converse, TX
I do not have a broad experience with watercolors but when I wanted to invest in a quality set I debated a long time about whether to get blocks or tubes. I had read about the quality of the QORs and decided to go with them because of the intense colors. I put a dab of each color in the tray and as always happens I get distracted and leave paints to set a while before getting back to them. Several months went by before I pulled them out again and was delightfully surprised by how fluid they became with very little water. Their colors are vibrant and the paint is smooth. I can build my own palette and it will be easily transportable. A very little goes a long way. I am happy with my purchase. I even bought a set for a friend hoping it will be a good foundation for her artistic endeavors.
Wonderful paints and great customer service
The watercolor is so pigmented and beautiful. A little bit of the paint goes a lo g way because of this. I did a swatch study and was very pleased. When I received my paints, I had gotten two tubes of transparent pyrrole orange. I was missing diarylide yellow and informed Blick of this. They politely and promptly fixed my order by sending me a 11ml tube, as they do not carry diarylide yellow in 5ml, free of charge.

The best I've used yet
These are the best watercolors I have used. Usually I get the cheaper watercolors, but I decided on trying these, and I wasn't disappointed! They are so vivid and blend well with each other in a way that you can't achieve from the cheaper variety.
Will uy again

bright Bright BRIGHT
By Robyn H
from Richmond, VA, USA
The stellar thing about QoR watercolors is that they are brighter and more transparent than other watercolors I've used, including Daniel Smith, Mission Gold, Sennelier, and others. This is not to say the others don't have good points, but if you're looking for bright colors, QoR is the way to go, in my opinion. The only real downside I've noted is that they are only sell in 11 ml tubes, which is less than optimal for trying out a small amount. I've not been disappointed with any of them, though, so it's worked out well for me. I hope you have the same great experience with them.

This paint literally made my jaw drop
from Palmerton, PA
I use several different professional quality watercolor paints, including M. Graham, Schmincke, and Sennelier. I love them all for different qualities. But I just got my first introductory set of Qor watercolors. I knew from other users that it had great "flow." But when the very first time I just laid down a few colors to do a quick wet in wet test, I could not believe how these paints moved. They practically painted a tulip all by themselves...and then they went and painted a pretty sunset. I am definitely going to build up my collection. The tin they came in is very handy. I glued in some half pans and will use it as its own palette. I love these paints.
QoR paints are awesome
from Las Vegas
These paints are my new fav. They mix so easily such a small amount needed. Colors are so bright!! So smooth to paint with. I got introductory set of 12.
