Yupo is non-porous, acid-free, and pH-neutral, machine-made in the USA from 100% polypropylene. Waterproof and stain resistant, it has become a compelling alternative to traditional fine art papers thanks to its extraordinary strength and lifting properties. 

The ultra-smooth surface gives artists the freedom to revise, refine, and experiment in ways that aren’t possible with absorbent papers. Paint can be wiped away, layered back up, or pushed around the surface, allowing you to build organic patterns, lift color, and rework areas repeatedly.

Because it resists tearing and buckling, there’s no need for soaking, stretching, or taping before use. Especially popular for water media, it also supports alcohol inks, acrylics, drawing media, and processes like monotype, offset printing, silkscreening, and debossing.

Made from durable polypropylene plastic film, Yupo lasts much longer than conventional papers and can be recycled where facilities exist. Because the surface is non-porous, skin oils can interfere with performance. We recommend removing fingerprints with soap and water before use.
