Holbein Acrylic Gessoes offer ultra-pigmented, powerful coverage and opacity. With more distinct texture options than most brands, they adhere well to various surfaces like paper, wood, and primed metal, providing excellent sealing when used as a ground on raw canvas. Ideal for traditional underpainting or mixing with acrylic colors, they dry to a fully matte finish.

Holbein's eco-friendly poly bags use less packaging than rigid plastic containers, reducing waste while making pouring and storage easy.

Holbein White Gesso is available in four textures: Smooth, which provides an eggshell-like texture; Medium, which offers a regular matte surface; Coarse, with a fine sand texture; and Extra Coarse, featuring a rough sand texture.
