The blade won't fly up or drop down unexpectedly and the manual paper clamp doubles as a safety guard to protect fingers. The blade handle is ergonomically contoured to reduce fatigue from repetitive cutting.   The trimmer is permanently affixed to a metal stand that features a manual foot clamp to hold work securely in place and prevent shifting. The stand ensures the proper cutting height, and a shelf provides additional storage.   Safety features include a lockable blade that won't fly up or drop down unexpectedly, and an acrylic shield that separates hands from the cutting edge.
