We start with medium texture 7 oz cotton duck and add three coats of acid-free titanium gesso to reach a primed weight of approximately 10.5 oz. The canvas is hand-stretched and back-stapled around solid wood stretcher bars. Larger canvas sizes are braced for extra support. Cross brace configurations may vary by size and style.
