The Blick Contour Floater Frame is a beautiful contemporary frame made in the USA from American hardwood.
So named because the illusion it creates is that your artwork is "floating" within the frame instead of being covered by it, this frame is perfect for displaying a gallery wrap canvas where no staples are visible. The canvas easily attaches to the stretcher bars from the back side with screws. The Blick Contour Floater Frame is available in three finishes, in a variety of sizes that accommodate 3/4", 7/8", or 1-1/2" deep canvases.
Frame Dimensions – Frames are measured by the size of the artwork they hold. Measure your artwork, mat, or panel, and order that size frame. The frame will overlap your artwork by about 1/4" on each side so it fits securely. If the frame includes a precut mat, the mat opening is indicated as Artwork Size.
Depth (Profile / Thickness) – How thick the frame moulding is from front to back, or how far it sticks out from the wall.
Rabbet Depth – The space inside the frame that holds your artwork and any materials used with it, like glass, matting, or backing. Make sure the total thickness of your materials fit within the rabbet depth.
Open Back Frames - These frames are meant to be hung on the wall and are not shipped with backing material, glazing material, or hanging hardware. The open back frames are commonly used for traditional profile stretched canvases and panels.
