Golden Door Book
Grade Level: 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12
Using the poem written about the Statue of Liberty as inspiration, students create an accordian-folded book, designed to look like a Golden Door. Inside, students use collage to express historical, aesthetic and personal interpretations of freedom, immigration, opportunity, etc.
