Derwent Inktense Blocks combine the tactile feel of a stick with the vivid intensity of ink. Use them dry, and they deliver bold, pigment-rich color with minimal dust. Add water, and they dissolve into strong, ink-like washes that dry permanent, so colors can be layered cleanly without bleeding or muddying.

The chunky 5/16" (8 mm) square shape adapts easily: use the edge for fine lines, the side for bold coverage, or lift pigment with a wet brush directly from the block. Versatile and expressive, Inktense Blocks are ideal for landscapes, still lifes, and textile art. They’re also excellent for stamping or decoupage. Pair them with Derwent Inktense Pencils for expanded effects.
