Does painting make you feel like a fish out of water? Follow along to learn how to paint a colorful fish underwater using Derwent Inktense Pencils and Derwent Inktense Paints with a Derwent Push-Button Waterbrush.

Instructions

  1. Sketch out the fish lightly on paper with a graphite pencil.
  2. Lightly shade splotches of color with Derwent Inktense Pencils for a base layer.
  3. Use the Derwent Push-Button Waterbrush to blend the base splotches.
  4. Use the pencils to draw directional lines for the fins and the eye.
  5. Go over these lines and the eye with the waterbrush.
  6. Use the water brush and the Derwent Inktense Paints to texture the fish body. Use a stippling motion with the waterbrush.
