May 25, 2023 | GALESBURG, Illinois – Blick Art Materials is excited to announce the grand reopening of the now combined Blick and Artmart retail stores in St. Louis at 2355 S. Hanley Road. Celebrations will kick off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11 a.m. on June 16, 2023, with Brentwood Mayor David Dimmitt in attendance, and continue through the weekend with contests, giveaways, and a special discount. The first 100 guests in line for Friday’s ribbon-cutting ceremony will receive a free goodie bag.
With over 15,000 sq. ft. of space, the remodeled and modernized location has thousands of new art supplies in addition to enhanced framing and printing capabilities. Customers can book appointments with professionally trained designers to customize their projects with over 1,200 frame styles, UV-filtering glass, acid-free mats, and high-quality inkjet printing.
“We’re excited to leverage the Hanley store’s larger custom framing and printing space into doing more of what we excel at, which is meeting our customers’ needs with the best quality supplies and industry-leading experience,” said Blick CEO Bob Buchsbaum. “Also, as a family-owned company with deep ties to the Midwest, we’re honored to continue our tradition of investing in the St. Louis art community.”
Blick has long supported arts education and community organizations throughout St. Louis and nationwide and is intentional about inviting local artists to enhance its stores. The company will be collaborating with St. Louis Artists’ Guild on a V.I.P. After Hours event as part of its grand reopening celebrations. Additionally, many familiar faces from Artmart and Blick’s now relocated store on Delmar will be on staff, continuing to provide customers with a high level of service.
The store is centrally located at 2355 S. Hanley Road, between Highway 40 (I-64) and Manchester Road. Store hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday-Saturday, and 12-5 p.m., Sunday. Parking is free.
