Spectrum Raku Glazes are formulated specifically for Raku firing and produce expressive, widely variable surface effects from firing to firing. Because Raku firing involves multiple variables, especially during the reduction phase, no two results are exactly alike.

Color and surface effects are influenced by kiln atmosphere, peak temperature, reduction timing, and the type of organic materials used in reduction. Chip charts and product photos should be viewed as inspirational examples rather than exact color matches. Exploring these variables is part of the Raku process and allows artists to develop their own signature results. 

Designed for low-fire use in electric or gas kilns, the glazes can be brushed, dipped, or poured. For dipping or pouring, thin slightly with water and test to fine-tune results. Creating test tiles while learning the glaze is recommended.
