From the first application of watercolor to the last, L’Aquarelle Canson Héritage Watercolor Paper offers excellent color laydown, brush-to-paper responsiveness, and lifting ease.
This next-generation watercolor paper features gelatin-free sizing that allows for easy corrections by lifting of both staining and granulating pigments — whether the paper is wet or dry. Colors appear vivid, bright, and intense on the first application, decreasing the need to reapply additional paint. Color flows smoothly from the artist's brush to the paper, allowing for precise control of the line or form being created.
Available in pads of cold press, hot press, or rough surface paper, L’Aquarelle Héritage Watercolor Paper is 100% cotton and made on a traditional cylinder mold for ideal absorbency and superior strength. It is internally and externally sized.
Each pad contains 12 sheets of 300 gsm watercolor paper bound into a fold-over Euro Fold cover.

My Paper of Choice
from Mill Hall PA
Comments about L’Aquarelle Canson Héritage Watercolor Pads:
I work full time as a licensed artist and have tried many different brands and lines of watercolor paper as this is hands-down my favorite paper to use right now.The colors remain vibrant, it holds up well under washes and layering, I have had little to no warping of the paper when taped to a hardboard and saturated. It is a bit pricey, but a great value still.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I tried this (cp) paper after reading reviews and was disappointed. I use a lot of water when I paint and this paper began pilling almost immediately. When I tried a painting using less water, it was okay but I find it inferior to Arches and Fabriano Artistico. It seems more like a good student grade paper.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Curious about this new paper.
from New Jersey
Like the way it handles wet on dry and wet on wet. Similar to Fabriano softpress but I find it can hold a crisper line. Not as "hard" as arches hot press.

Very nice paper
I am new to Watercolors but have tried out a number of papers now. Notably Arches, Saunders Waterford, Fabriano. My favorite tends to be Fabriano.I tried this paper and it's quickly becoming my favorite! I love to work on it. Colors lift easy and the paper can take a whole lot of abuse from scrubbing, alterations, masking, etc. My favorite aspect of the paper is that is hardly warps while wet, and drys flat between washes (with a hair dryer). It seems a little overpriced, but I do recommend it.
