Paint fast or paint slow with Chroma Atelier Interactive Acrylics!
Formulated using a patented technology, Atelier Interactive Acrylics offer artists a versatile set of working properties unlike those of any other paint. In application, they perform like conventional acrylics, allowing for traditional painting and glazing techniques. Yet they also give you unique control over the drying process — plus the ability to reactivate the paint, even when dry.
Professional-quality Atelier Interactive Acrylics are lightfast and archival, with exceptional consistency, brushability, and color load. They dry to a velvety satin finish. When purchased in 80 ml tubes, they offer one-third more paint than standard 60 ml tubes — and often costs less.

I love painting with these paints
from Austin, Texas
Comments about Chroma Atelier Interactive Artists' Acrylics:
These paints are richly pigmented creamy and easy to move, except when you might occasionally get an old tube of paint, but if you buy at Blick, they will replace it promptly.

Atelier acrylics are superior among acrylics
from Orange, CA
Atelier acrylics are THE BEST acrylic I've used for exactly the reasons advertised. I came to acrylics after watercolor & oils. I found the transition very easy. I can still paint in wc style if I wish OR in the heavier style of oils. The distinct difference between these mediums being that Atelier acrylics, compared to other acrylics (because of their unique/patented characteristics) are far less challenging. I highly recommend Atelier at every opportunity. It's sad to me that so few people in the US are aware of this superior paint.

A Very Good Paint
By diane's little dogs

I just started painting again after a detour with colored pencils for a few years. Needing to replenish supplies, including paint, I decided to try a paint I had flirted with trying before and never did.I have to say I was a bit leery of the paint, thinking they might be difficult to work with. They definitely are not.The paint has a nice consistency that mixes up with other colors very well. They go on the surface nicely as well.Chroma has a nice palette and along with the standard colors have some fun and interesting ones to play with.I find manipulating the paint on the surface to be very easy. They seem easy to 'steer'.One of the things I love about this paint is the beautiful way it looks when dry. There is absolutely no plastic look when wet or dry on the canvas. They have this very beautiful satin sheen that comes off as somewhat 'lush'.I really don't remember having this much fun or enjoying a paint as much as these.I really would urge those who have not worked with these to pick up a couple tubes and just enjoy them.
I would buy these paints again and again.
These wonderful Chroma Atelier interactive Artists' Acrylics tie with Lascaux Acrylics as being the most amazing paints I have used so far. I find I can blend with them a bit longer than with regular heavy body acrylics.I can mix them with my other acrylics but then I lose the longer blending time and, of course, also lose the reactivating process for dry paint . It really is most relaxing to know that one can reactivate an area that is dry and not looking its best.I love the non shiny finish. Some Acrylics have that plastic look. These are soft and velvety looking.I do not varnish my paintings and really appreciate this velvet finish.
Best acrylics I've found
from Houston, TX
Tried a lot of brands & these are my favorites. They are nice and buttery, easy to blend and better at not drying out when you are working with them.
This is a great product,it's a perfect texture.

VERY EXCITED ABOUT ATLELIER INTERACTIVE ACRYLIC PAINTS
By Arnold André
from Stanwood, WA
I purchased a set of Atelier interactive paints that includes twelve 0.66 fluid oz. tubes of paint with a nice variety of colors (awfully close to what I would have picked on my own, differing by only a color or two). Also included are two small tubes of medium and the unlocking agent, plus a water atomizer. I don't think you can beat this set for the price. I received two tubes of Atelier interactive paint (the larger two-ounce tubes) of white and phthalo blue with a sample of unlocking formula. You have to use caution with unlocking formula, it's mainly alcohol, and unless you have laid down your paint thickly, a significant portion of the layer will simply come off as you rework it. This is not the desired effect if you are attempting to achieve smoother gradations after the paint has dried to the touch (between two and twenty-four hours). But the pigment in the phthalo blue was really nice, pleasing, strong. The paint is less viscous than Golden and Liquitex, more even than Windsor Newton, I think, too. But it goes on smoothly, mixes super well, has great coverage. So I like the consistency. But if you want to do alla prima or impasto, you may need a thickening medium to give it some body. I am REALLY looking forward to seeing how this stuff works now that I have a whole palette to work with - I made a monochromatic with my free samples, liked it alot. My style would probably described as realism, so I like nice, smooth gradations. I'll let you know how things work out!
The Best Acrylics
In my opinion Chroma Interactive acrylics are the best on the market - it is the only acrylic paint I use 99% of the time - nice thick juicy paint the goes on evenly and easily - great stuff!!!!!
Acrylics will never be the same again. Chroma Atelier Interactive Professional Artists Acrylic paint is both "traditional" and "revolutionary". Interactive, when used in conjunction with a simple water sprayer, can be kept wet and workable for as long as needed to complete and unify a painting — then dries rapidly as desired. It can even be "reopened" weeks and months later with the use of Unlocking Formula.
See Atelier Interactive acrylic paint in action. Internationally renowned artist Mitch Waite shows how Atelier Interactive acrylics can be used in traditional acrylic techniques or "re-opened" even days after the paint is dry for blending colors, removing paint and other special techniques.
