Blick Gaviota Driftwood Frames

In Spanish, "gaviota" means seagull, and these fine-quality brushed driftwood frames evoke the charm of the sea with their rustic, weathered appearance. Each frame is made by hand.

Ideal for framing beach, wildlife, and landscape scenes, the Blick Gaviota frame is made from solid pine. The frame width is 3-1/4" and features a 3/8" rabbet.

Frame Dimensions – Frames are measured by the size of the artwork they hold. Measure your artwork, mat, or panel, and order that size frame. The frame will overlap your artwork by about 1/4" on each side so it fits securely. If the frame includes a precut mat, the mat opening is indicated as Artwork Size.

Depth (Profile / Thickness) – How thick the frame moulding is from front to back, or how far it sticks out from the wall.

Rabbet Depth – The space inside the frame that holds your artwork and any materials used with it, like glass, matting, or backing. Make sure the total thickness of your materials fit within the rabbet depth.

Open Back Frames - These frames are meant to be hung on the wall and are not shipped with backing material, glazing material, or hanging hardware. The open back frames are commonly used for traditional profile stretched canvases and panels.
