About the Artist
John Pototschnik began as a professional illustrator before moving on to a distinguished career in fine art in the early 1980s. He is the recipient of numerous awards, including four George Washington Honor Medals from the Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge, silver medals in the Oil Painters of America National and Western Regional competitions, and many more. He is a signature member of the Oil Painters of America, a master signature emeritus member of the Outdoor Painters Society, and is recognized by the Art Renewal Center as a living master. He has also been a teacher of painting for more than 30 years. John resides in Wylie, Texas with his wife, Marcia.
