It used to be when I bought a pad of 40 sheets or a pack of 40 sheets that all the sheets were very high quality paper. A pad or pack is more expensive than most construction and it used to be well worth it. I use these papers for bookmaking with students and teachers I work with. Now, many of the papers are flimsy and not suitable for this. The pads (which I bought through Blick) are a bit better; the lightweight papers are not as bad as some in the packs. The packs for a while now are filled with filler--almost half of the pack is not substantial papers at all. And so I miss the old days when each and every sheet was of high quality and heavy enough for my purposes. I guess others like the variety; I wouldn't mind as much if it didn't seem that now I am paying more for more inferior papers.
Bring pack the 40 pads/packs with good, high quality papers! I would recommend these papers only because some are so good and there are no alternatives.
