Welcome to dickblick
This heavyweight, versatile Strathmore acid-free paper was made with the acrylic artist in mind, but it is also well suited for a variety of other painting, drawing, pastel or charcoal applications where a heavy paper with a toothy surface is desirable. The paper has a cream-colored linen finish. 246 lb (400 gsm).
New flipover covers make it easy to work in the pad. Sheets stay in the pad yet tear out cleanly. 10 sheets per pad.

Wowee! Surprised and Delighted!
from New York
This was wonderful to see paint sit atop the substrate. I used this for acrylic pouring/fluid acrylic painting and loved, loved, loved the texture and the look of both unadorned negative space and of total coverage. Joyous.

I was looking for paper in pads that would be suitable for using with acrylics and would be heavy enough that it wouldn't buckle when using wet media. I needed them quickly for a workshop I was scheduled to teach and was providing some materials--- these were perfect for acrylic studies and small paintings and the paper is quite heavy. The paper accepted the acrylic and all of the water based materials well and there was very little buckling of the paper. The price is right, too. Great product!!

Great product - been using it for a few years now
Nice heavy weight paper for acrylic application - it has a slight linen texture and does not buckle

This is the best option I've found for the day-to-day use of the medium I work with.
Strathmore 400 acrylic linen pads
A nice linen like finish to this heavy weight paper - acrylic paint flows on nice and smoothly and the linen finish is somewhat visible - which gives the painting a nice professional appearance.

This paper was bought for my nephew who wanted to use acrylic paints for Christmas Cards this year. He is quite the artist and makes beautiful cards.

I paint with thick acrylics. I bought this acrylic paper for an economical surface to paint on that doesn't take much space to store. If I try something that doesn't work out, I'm not out much money. If it turns out great, I can mount it to board and frame it. If I want to store it, it doesn't take much space. The only thing I don't like about it is the tape binding. If it was spiral bound it would be perfect.
