Great journal for traveling. Takes watercolor well and good for sketching. Would prefer the paper weight to be 140lb, but it's the best product to date that I have found for traveling or daily practicing.

I bought this set JUST because the awesome brush was worth the price! I needed a good travel brush but had not been willing to fork over the $ for one of these little gems. I feel like I got the brush I wanted & a really nice bonus watercolor journal, which is the exact size I always use (although I have always used Moleskine journals) & this one looks like it is excellent quality. I'm really happy to get such a great deal on things I use regularly!

This set is worth it for the brush alone--it's a great little brush, and it's like getting the journal for next to nothing. I like the paper--thicker than many watercolor journals, and I prefer hard covers which hold up better to travel. The elastic band, ribbon marker and pocket are a nice touch.

These make great gifts for budding artists or someone about to take the trip of a lifetime, especially if you combine it with one of the Sakura Koi travel sets.

Nice little travel set, I have used the journal and the brush and love them both. I only wish the paper was a heavier weight, although I wish this about all watercolor journals.
