I am a teacher that works with K-12 students, all love art. Some are so talented that they are taking college art classes. I recommend your company because you have a variety of quality products. I would love to win because I too would like to order and play.

I use this paper in teaching watercolor painting to middle school students. I love it because I can cut it to any size, depending on the lesson. Also, it works well with oil pastels or markers in a multi-media lesson. I've used the product for many years. It is a dependable staple in my Art classroom.

I usually buy the watercolor paper in size 22X30 and cut the paper down to 11X15 for the students. The size is perfect for them to watercolor and you can easily mount that size onto a piece of colored construction paper for a frame. The watercolor paper allows the students to use the watercolors and are able to see what watercolors can really do. Especially showing them wetting the paper and then adding the color and spread the color. I call it "Wet it and spread it."It is something they can easily remember. They also can get vivid colors on the watercolor paper as it is thick enough to handle the water and colors. We have tried sprinkling salt on the watercolor paper and it is strong enough to handle the water, color and salt and has a great effect.i have been using the watercolor paper from Dick Blick for years and am so happy. The children really feel they are artists and have learned to use the materials properly and the outcomes of their artistic endeavors are beautiful. I am very pleased with the product.
Paper shreds easily
By Mrs. B

I bought this paper for my high school students. The paper shreds very easily and is not well suited for watercolor unless you are going to work exclusively with light washes or dry brush techniques. The paper shreds and pills easily when wet techniques are used. Not great for teaching various watercolor techniques. I'm so sad because I bought a lot, and it's almost useless.
