Arches papers aren't just for watercolors. Use them also for drawing, calligraphy, gouache, printmaking, acrylics, and even digital printing. Manufactured from pure cotton fiber, they are so durable that they will remain beautiful and vibrant for centuries without conservation, if stored and handled properly.
Many artists say they choose Arches because working on an inferior surface just isn't worth the effort. And no other watercolor paper provides such a huge selection of sizes, surfaces, and formats for creative expression.
Arches Bright White is mouldmade without optical brighteners or bleaches. The pulp is brighter than the Natural White Sheet, thus showing colors more intensely from the surface.
This paper features two deckle edges, two waterline edges, and a watermark. This sheet offers the same durability and strength as the Natural White sheet. Just like the original Arches, it is acid-free, pH-neutral, gelatin-sized, and air-dried. Both 140 lb (300 gsm) and 300 lb (640 gsm) weights are available.
Handling Charge — When ordering sheets of paper or board larger than 18” x 24” in quantities of less than 10, a $3.00 per order handling fee applies. Paper or boards may be assorted to reach the quantity of 10.

Awesome paper, exquisitely packed for shipping!

Arches 140 lb paper in hot and cold press is so enjoyable to paint on, but I was nervous about ordering large 22"x30" sheets online. They came exquisitely packed and protected, arriving flat in a large sturdy box without any damage. I'd order them again.

300 lb is great For Artists
from Lexington, KY
I have been using Arches paper for many years. I like the 300lb cuz it doesn't have to be stretched. The bright white hot press is what I use for florals. It has a bit of knap to it so paint can be erased even if the paint is more staining. It is difficult to cut into your required size but can be done with an x-acto knife. I wish paper came in something other than 22" x 30". Good price at DickBlick.com but have to pay a $3.00 handling fee if you don't order 10.

This is simply the best !!
By J M Artist
I love the Arches bright white. since I've been using it my colors seem so much brighter. I use the 300 pound cold press. It has just the right amount of texture for using granulating pigments and it takes the beating I dish out with masking and scrubbing. I've tried a lot of papers and this is the best !!

Superb, consistent performance

Even the 140# is heavy duty enough to survive using both sides if I goof up on one.
Best Deal for the classroom and the studio
By Art Room Teacher

Good watercolor paper is never inexpensive. Arches is well priced for the wonderful absorbency that it provides. I use it for my most advanced High School students and in my own studio at home. I rely on the high quality for a decent price. My students enjoy being able to ink on the watercolor paper with permanent ink and then washing colors over without worrying that the paper will be covered with pills of detaching paper.
