Good stuff at a good price

Comments about Canson Artist Series Illustration Pads:
Pretty close to perfect paper for me. Stands up well to erasing and allows me to do incredible amount of detail work without ripping or tearing. Wish it was a tad thicker as at times i will blast paint over the top of some drawings and it warps some-
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

The paper holds up well to repeated layers of marker. It has a wonderfully smooth surface and colors do not bleed through. It is easy to create both blended and non blended images. Great marker paper. I think if would be great for ink and tech pens too.
Perfect for ink drawings.

The nice, thick cardstock-like pages are perfect for drawing with ink pens. Doesn't bleed through.

I love these pads from canson. The weight is great for my pens (pigmamicron) and not too heavy. The perforations make it easy for when im done and need to remove the page from the pad.The pages are smooth and allows for mixed media.Great product.

Great pad, great price!
from Bremerton, WA
This pad is great for all types of drawing and illustration, especially pen and ink with wash or watercolor, which is what I use it most often for. Great price too!

The width and height of the product is great. The paper is high quality and does not have that grain texture. It works with makers and drawing pens in many ways possible. It lets you tell a story with a great image already in sight just by the space provided.
high quality, great for Ink.

I use these pages instead of Bristol board for cartooning. They don't bleed they hold washes pretty well and they are very reasonably priced. I used to use very expensive Strathmore bristol and I feel like the Canson illustration board is just as good.
Excellent paper for colored pencils and

Good, heavy paper whose surface takes pencils of every type I've used excellently. I've had no problems with markers myself, but I don't use markers very much. However, I do know pencils and this paper handles wax, oil, and graphite pencils; takes a lot of abuse. I have no issues with this product. It takes fine detailing, broad strokes, even blending pencils with mineral spirits. Try it!

Not worth the price
from Tyler TX
I use artist markers like Copic and Prismacolor. The surface of this paper shredded with the lightest touch of my colorless blender. This is the second piece of art that has been ruined by this product. It will not hold up to even average amounts of ink, more less to any blending. I am very disappointed. Guess I'll be giving this paper to my 3 year old grandson. Now I have to wait until I can afford better paper. Don't buy this product!

The paper is wonderfully sturdy, works great with Koh-I-Noor Rapidograph pens, and it has a good white hue to it. ( The attached image is of a drawing using the paper, sorry I edited it so it doesn't do it's brilliant white surface justice, but it shows how it allows for smooth detail work!)
