These pens are simply awful. A great concept, but ink does not flow well and tips dry up in mid-process. If you want to spend money on pens that work then go with Prismacolor or Copic.

I am a college fashion design teacher and I own a myriad of markers and other various supplies so that I know what to recommend to students on a budget and what to order for my classrooms. I teach High school as well as College classes. I have Letrasets Tria Pro markers, Copic markers, Prisma Color markers, Chartpack AD markers, ShinHan Touch markers, Deleter Neopiko markers, Mepxy markers, and I saw these remembering way back when Pantone use to partner with Letraset and I got nostalgic and remembered what great markers they were, I still have a few. They were refillable too.

In the industry everyone knows that Pantone sets the standard for color and color forecasting. Excited I ordered a handful of these and I got them in today and have to say I am SICKENED that these have the PANTONE name on them. They are HORRIBLE. I couldn't even make a 2 inch line with out the marker feeling dry, streaking, and fading. On top of that they don't have a chisel or broad side nib making it very hard to lay down a lot of color at once, but I guess they never intended that anyway since the markers are so dry to start with. The caps don't seem to seal well at all and one of them is either so pale I can't see it or dried out all together. I can see copic's B0000 so I don't think it's my eyes.

I wouldn't recommend these to ANYONE. I almost threw them directly into the trash can after testing them, only to keep them to show my students what not to buy and why not to buy it. Our first class I let them try out all my personal supplies as well as demonstrate blending and rendering techniques to them, and I know what this years least favorite supply is going to be.

I have Sharpies that blend better and have more ink in them then these.

I bought these markers because like most of us, thought we were getting a pretty good set of markers for a decent price. No one talks about these markers so what's a little helpless experiementation?

Well...they're just regular markers. I have tried Prismacolors and Copics and sad to say these don't layer as well as I though any respected brand would make their markers.

They're pretty basic and that's all I can really say about them.

I was annoyed when the pink marker out of the 12 set was completely dry, but thank goodness no other markers were affected.

I was given a 72 piece set and 5 of the markers were dried out straight out of the box. The colours don't match the swatches, so you should make your own. They don't work well if you use the same marker on a large area, the ink stops flowing. I wont be buying replacements when this set dries out.

For me I do a lot of detailed work, so having both the brush tip and the finer tip are very useful. the brush tip is also GREAT for coloring large areas. They also held up pretty well with some mixed media stuff I did, mixing them with other colors, drawing on wet surfaces, so that was really nice. My only problem was that some of my markers came dried out. I've been debating about just sending them back or simply reordering them. Another reviewer also mentioned getting dried out markers and this is very troubling. The markers are fantastic, and leaving the cap off for a while doesn't instantly dry them out, so getting them COMPLETELY dried out was irritating.

These markers are of a much lower quality than I expected and their color looks nothing like it's supposed to.

I've never used alcohol based markers before and they make a world of difference. I've always wanted to try them, but copics and prismacolor ones just seemed too pricey. I use them for drawing manga and they are just perfect for what I need. Still a bit pricey, but worth it!

These are fun if you just want to do quick, non-detailed sketches, or fill in large masses of space, but they are no replacement for Copic markers, or any other kind of graphic marker. They do not layer well, and it always feels like the ink is running out. However, they are are affordable, and like I said before, have their place.

The brush tip is very very floppy. The Faber Pitt Artist Pens are a billion times better. The ink doesn't come out fast enough to cover an area, gets all cloudy and streaky. This is not my technique. These pens don't function properly.
