Ideal for sketching and drawing, the Pentel Arts Aquash Water Brush has a durable nylon tip that holds its point for better stroke control.
Available in a variety of tip sizes, this versatile brush loads easily with water, inks, or fluid colors. What's more, the soft, easy-to-squeeze barrel has a shape that prevents it from rolling off surfaces.
When filled with water, the Aquash Water Brush is great for use with pocket watercolor sets when painting plein air.

There Kinda Average Really
By Draco, just because I can

Comments about Pentel Aquash Water Brush:
I'm actually a bit disappointed with these brushes, I got the set of three. I've read quite a few reviews were there really good and better then others, there really not. They do look nice and the caps and brush bristles are better than the cheap dove ones but they tend to spill to much water. The Sakura Koi one is actually better in my opinion, water flow wise. I mean I do like the Pentel ones to but the water flow is just awful and sometimes I end up switching to the Sakura Koi aqua brush because my paper starts to have to much water. I don't even have to press them for water to come out.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Excellent Brush for my Watercolors
By Nature Journaler
I have used this brush for several years now. It is my favorite for use at home and in the field when nature journaling. Easy to use, maintains its form, and works well with watercolor paints and watercolor pencils. No shedding problems either which others have done that I have used. Very convenient and no leaks.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Best water brushs ever
from Redwood City, CA
I have purchased and tried various water brushes and have been very disappointed. These brushes - the water flows easily, they don't leak and they have a nice point. So much fun to use and experiment with. I use them with my mini portable tiny plein aire paints so I can use them with cakes, aqua graphites and colored pencils - and probably more.

Easy to Fill
I used the Pentel Aquash brush because it is easy to fill. I fill the new ones with water for watercolor sketching and some of the older ones with ink and water to take for sketching. I have found no leaks.

I've not used these in a painting yet, but have played with them and I LOVE them so far. Working on a piece currently where I will use them for some muted fine line drawing in the background...I anticipate it to be terrific (if I can pull it off!)
Perfect To-Go Tool

Painting with watercolors is hard to do when you are on a train, in a car etc. This paintbrush makes it defiantly easier. It doesn't spill like a grass of water would. Also it is easy to clean the color of the brush. I will use it for small impression of cities?landscapes whenever I travel or for my sketchbooks.I am thinking about buying some for my friends as gifts.

Pental Aquash- Best brush pen
Love using this brush. Blick has the best price if you use a 25% or more coupon. Wish it was cheaper but can't complain. I use the small brush for brush lettering and the other 2 sizes for quick water coloring.

I use thsee brushes for watercolors and they work great. They are very detailed and hold up a lot of water. They are also easy to travel with and very light to carry.

Aquash Brush Best Learn to Paint in watercolor brush!
from Georgetown, Texas
I have taught watercolor to hobbyist for many years. I call my method "Keep The White Space". Once I show students how to use the Aquash Brush I am amazed at the success. The reason for the 100% success, I believe, is, the brush is consistent and the student learns how because of this consistency. I first show them how the brush works, and how to prepare a new brush for use. I then teach the difference between a brushstroke and not a brushstroke. I then teach how to clean the brush and how to control the brush for wet into wet, wet into dry, dry brush and painting a wash. After this introduction they take off running, they never seem to stop painting and coming back to set new painting goals. Many hobbyist turn into accomplished artist using the Aquash Brush. I don't feel the same about any of the other water brushes and I have my reasons that I like and dislike each brand, but hands down the Pentel Aquash Brush is the best, I believe it was the first one on the market as well. Pentel owns a registered trademark on the filter.

Whata Water Brush
from Annandale, VA
These are my first experience with water brushes and I couldn't be happier. Easy to fill and they don't leak. . .makes watercolor much more convenient when you don't need a bowl for water. . .
